SUMMER CELEBRATION 2 FEBRUARY
The Richter City Rebels have a sound that blends RnB, soul, hip-hop, jazz and funk with the heart and soul of New Orleans brass band music. Trumpets, trombones, saxes, sousaphone, and percussion bring the ultimate Mardi Gras party to any venue or festival. Incorporating stylish original melodies and shouts, funked-up pop tunes and bouncing hip-hop, the Rebels’ sound embodies the musical melting pot of Louisiana. Energy, entertainment, and musicianship of the highest quality: the Richter City Rebels guarantee a rousing New Orleans experience.

Spinoza are a progressive funk rock genre bending synth-bass power trio, hailing from the top of the South. Featuring local Time Lord Sam Edmonds on lead drums. Certified conjurer of tones Luke Wilkes on guitar and keys. And bush dwelling tune enthusiast Sahn Bishop on synth-bass, keys and vocalisations.

John Nelson has played in many cover bands all across the UK before moving to Marlborough to play many gigs across the country. John has also just returned to NZ after spending the last 2 years playing gigs in Spain and the UK. John has recently opened for The Jordan Luck Band at the Savour In The Park event in Blenheim. John plays pop,rock,dance, and soul classics for all ages from every decade from the 60's through to the present day.

What if Iggy Pop and the Stooges had been Malborough dairy farmers? What if Hendrix had settled in a Tukurua art gallery selling homemade jewelry crafted from shells and bone? The answer to all these questions and more can be found at a Cowpokers gig stomping, high energy music for ranchers n' dancers!

Their kiwiana authenticity & banter will ensure you'll be dancing whilst laughing for the duration of the evening!
