The rumours are true—our Coffee Liqueur is back, and it’s better than ever. Crafted in small batches and bursting with the rich flavour of freshly roasted coffee, it’s a versatile indulgence made for every moment. Introducing Lost Barrel Bourbon: A Piece of Distilling History
We’re also incredibly proud to introduce Lost Barrel Bourbon—an extraordinary spirit with a remarkable story. Originally imported from Kentucky, USA, in 2001 as a four-year-old bourbon, it arrived at South Pacific Distillery in Nelson—one of New Zealand’s earliest commercial distilleries. At the time, our founder, Terry Knight, was honing his craft there as an apprentice while also running his own meadery in Golden Bay, creating the much-loved Le Champs De Miel.
After the closure of South Pacific Distillery, the bourbon barrels were lost to time—relocated, forgotten, and finally rediscovered. Twenty-eight years after its original distillation, we cracked open the barrels and were met with an aroma so captivating, we knew it had to be shared.
The result is a rich, smooth bourbon unlike anything else in New Zealand. This exceptionally limited release is typically only available from our cellar door, but for a short time, we’re opening access to a few lucky bourbon lovers nationwide.
